Hannah did her foundation year at City College Brighton followed by her BA degree in Product and Furniture Design at Ravensbourne College of Design. The broad spectrum of creative briefs and live projects with external companies, gave her a better insight into the commercial design world. Whilst studying, Hannah was particularly challenged to consider the impact product design has on the environment.

Since graduating in 2008 Hannah has been working at 'departure' community arts centre in Limehouse. Here she was able to teach a class on Resourceful Design and has taken on all of the publicity and branding of the centre including designing the website www.departure14.com

Hannah's real passion is for traditional crafts. Over the last year she has been mastering pole-lathe turning. She loves that working with green (unseasoned) wood you need to respond to the unique log. Taking into consideration the knots and way it has grown becomes an essential part of the design process.
